Los Cabos Guide

If you want to get away for a while, there’s no place better than the Los Cabos region.

No matter what you’re looking for, there’s something in the region that will appeal to you. Whether you’re looking for a nature-filled getaway, luxury amenities, a laid-back arts scene, or a thriving nightlife, Los Cabos can provide.

The Los Cabos Region

Located on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico, Los Cabos is a unique municipality practically designed for some time away. The Los Cabos region consists of two cities: San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Between the two cities lies a twenty-mile stretch of high-end resorts, luxury beachfront villas, and world-class golf courses known as “The Corridor.” Getting from one part of the Los Cabos region to another never takes too long, and there’s plenty to see on the way.

The Los Cabos area became popular long before it developed so many amenities. The climate of the region is beyond compare. Called the place where “the desert meets the seas,” Los Cabos is one of the sunniest places on Earth. Temperatures remain comfortable and stable year-round, so vacations are just as pleasant in August as they are in December. Visitors from around the world come to the area to enjoy the beaches, golf courses, and other activities, no matter the season.

San José del Cabo

One of the two cities flanking the Los Cabos region, San José del Cabo is a historic treat.

Smaller than its sister city of Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo is full of historical buildings, cobblestone streets, and art galleries. For the arts patron, there’s a well-developed cultural and artistic scene to explore. San José del Cabo is also the site of the international airport SJD, so all visitors will get the chance to pass through.

Cabo San Lucas

If you’ve ever heard of someone refer to “Cabo,” they were probably talking about Cabo San Lucas.

This lively, entertaining city is the bigger of the two in the Los Cabos region. It’s also the home of “The Arch,” the famous Cabo landmark at the end of the peninsula.

There’s never a dull moment in Cabo, with a thriving marina, a developed nightlife, and restaurants for everyone’s tastes. There are hundreds of activities available as well, from tours to sports to concerts every night of the week for visitors to enjoy.

The Corridor

Between Cabo and San José, “The Corridor” is the twenty-mile length of coast that keeps Los Cabos connected. If you’re looking for an escape from city life, you can find something to suit you in The Corridor.

From luxurious hotels and beautiful beaches to individual villas and world-famous golf courses, The Corridor has the seclusion and relaxation to help anyone get away from it all.

Los Cabos Communities

The communities along The Corridor and throughout Los Cabos are known as elegant, discreet escapes in which visitors can explore the unspoiled beauty of Baja.

Pedregal

When people want to stay close to the heart of it all, they stay in Pedregal—the “Hollywood Hills” of Los Cabos. A magnificent gated community sprawling near the center of downtown Cabo, Pedregal is within walking distance of El Arco.

Close to the southern tip of the Baja peninsula, some of the best ocean views are found in the hills and gorgeous villas of Pedregal. Both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific can be seen from this community. For those who feel the ocean’s call, the marina is minutes away.

Palmilla

Cobblestone streets, great views, and amazing golf: what more could anyone want? Palmilla has all of this and more.

Palmilla is an elegant gated community with some of the best beaches and restaurants in all of Los Cabos. Located only 25 minutes from Cabo San Lucas and 12 minutes from San José del Cabo, city life is close at hand if you want it. If you’re enjoying the country life though, you can explore the historic streets and gorgeous properties on private golf carts for a little adventure.

Cabo del Sol

Another option in the heart of The Corridor, Cabo del Sol offers the outdoor lifestyle you’re longing for.

If you want, you can watch the sunrise from a Cabo del Sol beach, and watch it set from the nearby mountains. In between, there are luxury villas, impressive golf courses, and delicious restaurants to occupy your time.

Puerto Los Cabos

If you prefer San José del Cabo, then Puerto Los Cabos is the resort community of choice. With villas, golf courses, a marina, botanical gardens, and more, Puerto Los Cabos has both community and seclusion in equal measure. Less than 20 minutes from the airport, this community is great for both short getaways or longer stays.

The Los Cabos region has become a world-famous lifestyle destination for good reason. A place with beautiful weather, friendly people, gorgeous scenery, and luxurious amenities, Los Cabos is a perfect choice if you want to take some time away from the world.
